A mission group shares exciting news for ministry in India.

India (MNN)–Audio Scripture Ministries continues to report encouraging growth for thei India outreach.

In parts of India, there is an unusual freedom distributing God’s Word in audio. Church leaders are excited about having recently recorded the gospel of Mark in the Irula language.

What makes this even more exciting is that this is the only translated portion available in the Irula language. In addition to the gospel of Mark, some songs and Bible stories were recorded.

These were dedicated and distributed on April 18th, 2004 when twenty listening kits were also given out to those in a small Irula Tribal village.

Pray that the political and religious situations would allow this freedom to continue. In recent months, teams have seen unusual openings for Scripture in audio in India. Only funding hinders a huge distribution for those requesting audio cassettes.

Another project is also in the works for India. ASM needsover 13-thousand dollars to launch the production of the new Mithra player in India.

It is not possible to send Tape Talk2 players to India because of extremely high duty, so having them made in India is the best alternative.
