A new program helps persecuted believers

By June 28, 2005

USA (MNN) — Many Christians have no idea that fellow believers are suffering around the world. Many Christians are jailed, beaten, or killed simply for their faith in Christ. The Bible League is doing something about that through a new program they’ve developed.

It’s called, “If God be for us…” While persecution is difficult, extreme and can cause death, the program helps believers understand that not even death can separate us from the love of Christ.

The goal of the program is to raise awareness of persecution and provide God’s Word to persecuted Christians. This year the program has a 21-day devotional booklet, a Bible bank for offerings, a bulletin insert, a video, an interactive website, and a sheet with 21 activities to help all ages understand this worldwide program. This program can provide believers the tools they need to help them share the Gospel in countries closed to the Gospel.

The program will be available this fall and can be used in conjunction with the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, scheduled for November 13th.
