A training course in Cameroon sets the stage for future outreach.

Cameroon (MNN)–More than 380 million people worldwide still need God’s Word in their language.

According to the current statistics though, at the current rate of translation, they would have to wait for another 100 to 150 years.

Wycliffe Bible Translators’ vision is to see translation in progress among every language group that needs it by 2025 – Vision 2025–a vision for all of God’s church and a call to action.

With that in mind, Wycliffe Bible Translators send out training teams to assist and support translation projects. One such team just finished teaching a Community Mobilization for Bible Translation Course in Cameroon.

At this point, six language groups are involved. Please pray that the participants will learn how to start a language project and how to get their churches involved right from the beginning.

Teams also hope the participants apply what they have learned and move forward in mobilizing people to the work of Bible translation.
