Another church attacked in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka (MNN)–The International Christian Concern reports that an active Sri Lankan church was attacked four days ago during a service.

During the intervening week, the Pastor received information that his Church would be attacked on the 23rd. However, the worship service was held as usual.

That day, a group of about 20 people disrupted the service and assaulted some of the worshippers, some armed with clubs and sticks.

By the time police arrived, much of the interior had been vandalized. Chairs, the pulpit and musical instruments were broken.

Most of the mob ran off with the arrival of authorities, however, one of the suspects was eventually caught. A report has been made, identifying some of the other attackers.

This was the second church to be attacked in the last two Sundays. Many mission groups think the harassment will continue over the next few months. Pray for those involved with evangelistic work in Sri Lanka.
