Believers mobilize ongoing flood relief to the Philippines.

By January 11, 2006

Philippines (MNN)–Severe flooding has hit seven provinces in the past month in the northern and eastern parts of the Philippines.

More than 100,000 people have been affected after heavy rains caused flooding. Vast areas have been affected by the landslides and floods. Farms, homes and other small businesses have been damaged, washed away or buried under the landslides.

Operation Blessing has relief efforts in place to help the evacuees. Their immediate goal was send out relief packs containing blankets, oral hygiene packs, towels and soap to refugees.

They’ve also begun reconstruction of homes–all in the effort to serve the survivors as the hands and feet of Christ. Pray that doors will open for teams to share their faith.
