Bible translators get mobilized for leadership work.

By August 23, 2006

International (MNN)–21 people representing leadership from all areas of Wycliffe USA’s recruiting are wrapping up the National Mobilization Leadership Team meetings this week.

The mission of Wycliffe USA’s Prayer Ministries is “to pray and facilitate strategic prayer for Bible translation by engaging and equipping Christians in the United States.”

In light of that, they focused this week on strategic planning, recruiting, and developed plans for better field translation recruiting. The teams also are working with SIL to streamline their efforts.

SIL is dedicated to training, language research, translation and literacy. SIL International is a faith-based organization that studies, documents, and assists in developing the world’s lesser-known languages.

Together, the teams will be able to complement their strengths and work toward a common mission. Pray that the meetings will end with clarity of vision and purpose for those involved in Bible translation
