Bibles lead to church growth in Cambodia.

By December 8, 2003

Cambodia (MNN)–Cambodia has a church growth rate of twenty five percent annually.

This year, working in conjunction with local churches, the Bible League placed over 65,000 Bibles that established 364 churches. Most of these new converts have learned about the Word of God through small group studies as part of the Bible League’s “Project Philip.”

However, Bibles in Cambodia are very expensive – typically more than a week’s wages for the average worker. Through a network of believers, the Bible League can provide Scriptures and other resources to new Christians.

From that, the Bible League plants an average of seven churches per week in Cambodia. Each church needs about 50 Bibles.
