Christian ministry comes full circle in South Korea.

By November 4, 2003

South Korea (MNN)–In 1952, South Korea was the first nation served by Compassion’s budding ministry.

Since then, its turnaround has been so great that in 1993 Compassion’s service to South Korea ended. They no longer needed Compassion’s direct help.

Today, South Korea is ready to rejoin the Compassion family as one of 10 partner countries. They committed, over the next five years, to raising $1.5 million through the South Korea Expansion Fund.

This solid foundation and “upgraded” collaboration will help it grow into a vital, self-supporting Compassion partner country.

Instead of receiving aid from sponsors, the citizens are turning the tables and providing assistance to children in need. The partnership gives believers an opportunity to respond in kind to the body of Christ.

South Korea’s staff hope to keep the ripple effect going, stirring hearts and changing lives in the name of Jesus.
