Christians are poised to help hurricane survivors in Ivan’s aftermath.

By September 16, 2004

International (MNN)–Hurricane Ivan is menacing the US Gulf Coast.

It’s the third in a series of devastating hurricanes to slam into Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Many of the countries effected by this huge storm were already trying to recover from Hurricanes Charley and Frances.

Ivan’s approach has left a swath of devastation and is expected to hit four states along the Gulf Coast.

Baptist World Aid, the relief and development arm of the Baptist World Alliance, is sending money to Cuba, the Bahamas, Florida and other places, to support the relief ministries already being undertaken by believers.

Teams involved say the crisis is a time for them to be both the hands and feet of Christ to the storms’ survivors.
