Christians urged to help African church in mission.

Africa (MNN)–The training mission for East Africa is simple: conduct evangelism training and deploy EvangeCubes.

Global Missions Fellowship’s Nathan Sheets says they’re helping the African church ready themselves to personally present the Gospel to four million unbelieving East Africans.

It’s been a busy summer. “We’ve mobilized probably 600 North Americans to go in and help partner with existing churches to help do evangelism, discipleship and establish new churches.”

Sheets says since March, the response from the African church has been incredible. Once they have the tools and training, they flourish on their own. “We’ve seen over 27-thousand Africans trained with Evangecubes and training.”

And this, Sheets explains, is where their greatest challenge lies. “Of the 27-thousand, we only had the resources to provide 7-thousand of them actual Evangecubes.”

Those that did get Cubes didn’t take their treasure lightly. Sheets adds, “They went out and shared the Gospel with 30-thousand people, seeing 11-thousand people come to Christ and starting 63 new churches.”
