Church growth in Latvia births new outreach.

By July 4, 2005

Latvia (MNN)–Latvia is a relatively new member of the European Union.

Since 1992, Greater Europe Mission has worked with Latvians to establish churches and now also mentors young national pastors and leaders.

This is especially important as great hunger exists in the churches for biblical teaching and training. There is also a need to equip believers to recognize false teaching.

It began with Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). From there, with response to the Gospel so good, three churches were launched.

For several years, the International Church of Riga has been reaching out to a small town that may be the site of an eventual church-plant.

An evangelistic camp is planned for this summer. Pray for the team as they lead the effort and for the logistics of the camp.
