Delay in Nepali pastor verdict

Nepal (MNN) — More bad news coming from Nepal. Gospel for Asia says their missionary pastor will have to wait a little longer to receive the news about his appeal.

Pastor Manja Tamang’s verdict hearing before the Supreme Court was supposed to take place last week. According to Gospel for Asia, for an unknown reason, one of the three judges was absent, forcing a delay of two or three weeks.

Tamang has been in prison since being falsely accused and convicted of murder two years ago.

While in prison Tamang has been freely sharing his faith with fellow inmates and many have come to Christ. He’s even established a Bible study in prison.

Pray for Tamang’s wife and children who have been without a husband and father for so long. Pray that the judges will overturn the verdict that was erroneously passed down so many months ago.
