Praying for our brothers and sisters in Eritrea, that God would protect them, keep them strong, encourage them, and make them mighty witnesses of His love, mercy and grace. And praying for the people who do not yet know Jesus, that they will hear of His love for them, and respond to Him as God and Savior. May the persecutors come to know Jesus, too!

I do not understand why the focus here is Christians and since when is Islam a primary religion in Eritrea? It is widely recorded that Muslims and Christians make up 50:50 in the country. Although a Christian, I was brought up with Muslim friends whom I saw as my brothers and sisters which they reciprocate.

I am no longer a Christian but a humanist because of the division religion brings and the huge problems it causes around the world - although I fully accept the right of people to worship whomever God they want. But to come to the point, singling out Christians as the oppressed in Eritrea is simply misunderstanding the dictatorship in the country. All people in the country are brutalised by an evil dictator, it does matter if they are Christians, Moslems or non believers like myself.

Let's care for all humanity regardless of religion.
