Fast growth in Brazil creates the need for a work team.

Brazil (MNN)–Construction is moving along at a good pace on the Good News Baptist Church in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Association of Baptist for World Evangelism team is headed back in a couple days with a 12-man construction team.

Sao Paulo is a densely populated industrial area, possessing great potential for a strong autonomous church. Its population increases by half a million each year. The Baptist Bible College and Seminary of Sao Paulo trains pastors and leaders.

Timing on the building is important, because the Seminary is losing students due to their location in a less secure part of the city. The building is old and in need of many repairs. There is a need for the seminary to move by the end of this year.

As the seminary trains new leaders, it is more apparent than ever that there is an urgent need for more churches. All nine ABWE fields in Brazil need many more laborers, and many other areas are ready to be entered for church planting.
