Graduation serves as an open door for future ministry in Ghana.

Ghana (MNN)–She’s so excited, she can’t keep the tremors from her voice as she shares a story about the future of a vibrant ministry in Ghana.

Oasis of Love’s Bishop Elvina Miller communicates her enthusiasm over their International Training Center with the pride of a mother.

Their mission is to see a vibrant and active church continue its growth in Ghana. In 1997, Bishop Miller obtained a parcel of ground in near Accra, Ghana to establish the training center so that the people of the area would receive Biblical studies as well as vocational training.

Miller says rather than giving handouts, the facility brings opportunity to the people. “These people who are graduating, would never have been able to graduate from any school due the fact that money is scarce there. So, we give Bible lessons, and we give vocational, and this way, they have, we feel, the whole Gospel.”

Miller’s pride with the Center’s first graduating class grew with the preparations for a second graduation. She glimpsed the possibilities of a unified church body. “When the first graduation class heard the news of the upcoming graduation, they all decided to come and support the efforts of the second class.”
