USA (IBS/MNN)–International Bible Society (IBS) is sponsoring a new television series titled “Cowboy Church.”

The western-focused series, designed to reach a large audience not currently served on conventional Christian television, is a cooperative effort between the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys (FCC) and Advent Communications.

“Through the medium of television,” said Jerry Wyatt, General Manager of the FCC, “the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys expands its ability to reach cowboys, cowgirls, ranchers and farmers, as well as all those who love and live the western lifestyle across the country, with the love of Jesus Christ.”

Nationally, “Cowboy Church” airs on the America One Network, which provides family-friendly programming to more than 70 broadcast affiliate stations across the U.S. that reach 20 million households. Locally, the half-hour weekly television show airs Sunday mornings at 11:30 a.m. on KWHD-53 in Denver and KWHS-51 in Colorado Springs.

“‘Cowboy Church’ provides International Bible Society an opportunity to distribute The Way for Cowboys, its New Testament tailored and published especially for cowboys,” said Phil Wilcoxson, IBS Marketing Director.

Wilcoxson continued, “Designed by IBS to fit comfortably in a back pocket, boot or saddlebags this pocketsized Scripture, with its appealing western cover, has been extremely well received by ranchers, rodeo professionals and fans, and others who love the cowboy lifestyle.”

The Way for Cowboys features cowboy prayers and poetry along with 16 pages of Bible helps plus 48 full-color pages of pictures and testimonies from eight Christian cowboys.

Founded 29 years ago, the FCC presents to cowboys, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and disciples them in their commitment to serve Jesus in their relationships and in the fellowship of the Church.
