USA (MNN)–Living Water International (LWI) is celebrating 15 years of ministry reaching the world with water and the Gospel.

Since 1991, LWI has completed more than 3,000 water projects in 22 countries that serve 5 million people daily. LWI is holding its celebration November 3-4 in Houston, Texas.

Their past success is a means to forward motion. LWI President Jerry Wiles says they’re looking at a major expansion effort over the next 12 to 18 months. “One of the things we’re doing is developing ‘Share the Vision’ networks around the country. These would be local people.”

LWI plans on opening branch offices around the United States to mobilize prayer and financial resources to support the vision of the ministry. Wiles says, “We would give them our recipe for success that God has given us so that we can reproduce in a more rapid way.”

Wiles says it’s not their vision, alone. It’s a cooperative effort. “Practically, one of the ways we do that is working with indigenous partners orphanages, schools, hospitals, other mission organizations and churches.” He sums up their approach this way. “Clean water, sanitation and training in hygiene is really the thing that opens the door in many places where it’s not been open to the Gospel.”
