Ministry growth in Madagascar comes at the price of an office building for Teen Missions.

Madagascar (MNN)–Teen Missions International is moving forward on plans for a second Boot Camp in southeastern Madagascar.

The first Teen Missions Boot Camp in Madagascar was run 1995 and it has been run every year since. The first 4 Boot Camps were run on the Bible Society property not far from the capital, Antananarivo (Tana).

In 1998, they acquired 12 acres of land in the more remote region near Mahajunga about 600 kilometers north of Tana. This Boot Camp is run in the summer with the help of a summer team from the States.

Since then, the ministry has seen encouraging growth–so much so, that three years ago, talk came up of expanding to a second campsite. Since then they have been praying and looking for the right land to purchase for TMI.

What they found was a site in Vangaindrano, located near a rain forest, where the land is still fertile and mostly green all year.

Then talks began. The end result of the negotiations was a parcel of land 10 kilometers from town and is approximately 20 hectares in size. The government agreed to give Teen Missions land in exchange for help from the group building an office facility.

Teen Missions also hopes to recruit three evangelism teams. Pray for safety, protection and wisdom as they move forward.
