USA (MNN) — Christians around the world are being asked to pray for the Vice President of Russian Ministries Sergey Rakhuba.

According to Russian Ministries, on June 19 Rakhuba suffered a series back injury while doing some home maintenance. Rakhuba is still hospitalized in a Chicago area rehabilitation hospital receiving therapy for his broken back. But, he is up walking and doing exercises.

In the meantime, prayer is needed not only for his physical healing, but also for his summer schedule. This was a busy summer for Russian Ministries. Rakhuba was originally going to lead a combined Russian Ministries/Buckner Orphan Care International team to Beslan, Russia. That has since been canceled. He also was supposed have travel to the Ukraine to hold leadership conferences.

Pray for the young Russian leaders who will be filling in for Rakhuba as he recovers.
