Missionary in Nepal gets his day in court.

By October 29, 2003

Nepal (MNN) — Gospel For Asia just received promising news about Manja Tamang, a Gospel for Asia native missionary who is serving a prison sentence in Nepal for a crime he did not commit.

On October 24, Manja had an all-day hearing before the Supreme Court of Nepal. Much evidence was presented to establish his innocence. A GFA leader in Nepal believes this was an answer to prayer. The final ruling on the case will be announced November 9 (ironically the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church) and we will send out the court’s decision as soon as we receive word.

Gospel For Asia deeply appreciates those who have faithfully interceded for this precious brother who has such a heart to reach his country with the Gospel. Now more than ever, it is so important we pray for Manja and his family. Pray the Lord softens the hearts of government officials so Manja is released.
