New Christian radio station in Benin has a tower, but much prayer is needed.

By January 12, 2006

Benin (MNN) — In Benin, West Africa, Trans World Radio, Africa reports that the tower is up; the foundation, main floor and some of the top floor to the transmitter building can be seen. The birth of a new TWR transmitting site is getting closer. Soon more people in West Africa will be able to hear the Gospel in their own language.

The process hasn’t been an easy one. It’s involved some hard work, much negotiating and fervent concentrated prayer. Last fall, the land was cleared and prepared for the building and tower. When the containers with the needed equipment arrived, construction began, and TWR missionaries came from Swaziland, Canada and the United States to help local workers raise the tower.

Please continue to pray for this project, especially for the issuing of AM and shortwave radio licenses to TWR. Pray also for the funding still needed to produce programs for various people groups in Niger.
