USA (MNN) — Dangers and challenges facing the world’s two billion children will be the focus of the annual World Vision forum, entitled “Precious in His Sight,” October 24 and 25 in Dana Point, California. Speakers will include Luis Palua, Rick and Kay Warren, and the U-N’s Kul Gautam.
During the two day event, participants will discuss the effects of such threats as HIV/AIDS, sexual exploitation, war, injustice, hunger and poverty on children in the U-S and internationally.
“The Bible tells us again and again that children – especially those who are in the greatest need – are precious to God,” said Ricahrd E. Sterns, president of World Vision in the United States. “But to often, those of us with the means to help them don’t see them at all. Our hope is that this forum will change that.”
