Africa (MNN) — As part of the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa, Trans World Radio recently launched a new adventure in radio programming. Partnering together with Kerus Global Education, TWR hopes to reach young people with a message of hope, health and future.

The initiative incorporates a unique curriculum, on-the-ground training and oral mass media. The curriculum, called It Takes Courage, seeks to equip, challenge and empower young people to become people of character by making wise choices, leading to abstinence before marriage and faithfulness within marriage.

The hope is to train 19,200 youth pastors and leaders throughout Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda, who will them commit to train 40-100 youth in It Takes Courage.

TWR is producing radio drama programs, also titled It Takes Courage, to be translated and broadcast on the radio to a number of languages in those four countries.

The potential impact could reach 2 million African youth within 5 years.

Pray for this initiative to have far-reaching impact and impact many lives. Pray that through it, the youth pastors and leaders will have opportunities to share Christ with the young people, to impact not only their lives on earth, but also their eternities.
