Prayer is crucial to ongoing work in the midst of persecution.

India (MNN) — Gospel for Asia is concerned about the attacks against Christians in India which have multiplied immensely in the recent weeks and months.

GFA’s President KP Yohannan reports that their leaders on the mission field say that persecution has become such a regular, daily event that they now report only the worst cases.

Their students are beaten while on outreach, pastors are facing death threats, and radio producers are attacked with iron rods. Families of national missionaries are being threatened with violence unless the missionaries renounce Christ.

Yohannan says that Christians face more persecution now than at any other time in history. The situation is urgent and ongoing. These believers need prayer and strength to be bold witnesses for Christ in the face of such persecution. Yet even in spite of that persecution, these faithful believers rejoice to bring the light of Christ to the many millions in Asia who are in spiritual darkness.

Please continue in faithful prayer for our brothers and sisters who face daily persecution.
