(India)–Topping the news, a ceasefire involving Nagaland and three neighboring areas is on shaky ground. India’s government revoked the deal, limiting it to Nagaland only. Separatist rebels say they will continue to honor it, following mass protests in nearby Manipur. Gospel Revival Ministries’ Cebu Rutsa says while the situation doesn’t stop their work, it does complicate it. “There was a lot of misunderstanding between the Nagas and the neighboring states. [The Gospel work is not really affected, of course, as far as the religious relationships matter.” But, at the moment, politically, it is very difficult for us to build up our relationship with our neighboring state people.” Rutsa says their work with a Christian university in Nagaland continues to grow, but prayer is critical. “Pray for the understanding and unity among the Christian people and Christians churches among the states. That would be a great prayer and a help to our people.”
