(Indonesia)–Topping the news today, Indonesia’s clerics are warning that Muslims will unite in their condemnation of a U-S based attack on Iraq. That prompted concerns there would be adverse effect on foreign-based missions. But, Back to the Bible’s Dave Hansen doesn’t think their work with partner Far East Broadcasting Company will be a target. “There will be more attention put towards Christians if the Americans, who are perceived as representing the Christian world, attack Iraq. In the case of Back to the Bible, we are working today with 100-percent national staff, versus Americans living in Indonesia, so it doesn’t impact us quite as much.” Hansen says in spite of the building tensions, the Indonesian church is asking for prayer. “Pray for boldness, I think of my brothers there in Indonesia; they’re the ones that need the boldness to continue to preach the Gospel. We need to pray that they’ll be protected and that they will have the boldness to teach the Word.”
