(Nigeria)–Meanwhile, police in Nigeria say they have uncovered a plan by Muslim fanatics to unleash mayhem in the period between the end of Ramadhan and the beginning of Christmas. Nigerians are being told to be extra vigilant and security conscious. That goes for church leaders and pastors, too. Gospel Revival Ministries’ John Musser says the violence has taken its toll on their ministry. “It has effected the aggressiveness of our evangelistic efforts in the Kano, Niger, Chad, Sudan regions that we work in. But, we keep on coming back.” Musser says their pastors are very concerned about the threats that are being made. “They’re asking us, on a regular basis, to pray for them, that God would give them wisdom in all that they do-in their evangelistic efforts, and building their churches and preserving what churches are left.” Two of the GRM churches in Kano survived the rioting that erupted in October. Please pray for their safety in the days ahead.
