Elsewhere, the Latin American church is expected to explode onto the missions front over the next ten years. In order to help prevent the same difficulties faced by the fast-growing Chinese and Indian church, Evangelical Free Church Mission has launched a special program. EFCM’s Keith Anderson. “The Latin America Training Network is a masters’ level training project that will be making use of the technology that is currently being developed. We plan on putting courses both on the internet, as well as the possibility of using satellite communications.” Anderson explains LATN is laying the groundwork. “We believe that theological education needs to be made accessible to Latin Americans. I feel that if we can put into place training programs that will provide leaders, within ten years, I think the Latin American church will not only have good leaders in place, but those good leaders will be able to do the training that we are doing right now.”
