(Turkmenistan)–Next, Turkmenistan political police continue the violence toward religious groups that are outside the framework of their officially-sanctioned Muslim Board. The Keston News Service reports that at least six Protestant Christians in the north have been beaten in the past six months. Sources also report that the raids, detentions and beatings by the KNB police toward minority religious communities are becoming more frequent. Baptist and Pentecostal Christians have been particularly singled out.
