Story number 3 for 1 Oct 2001

By October 1, 2001

(Ivory Coast)–The lack of teachers in the Ivory Coast is taking missionaries away from ministry. According to New Tribes Mission officials, the school year began in August without a teacher for elementary students, so they’re now being home schooled. Also lacking is a high school English teacher, so someone who speaks English as a second language is teaching some of the classes. The school plays a vital role in allowing missionaries to stay in the field. Pray that teachers can be found to fill these needed positions.
