(India)–Christian radio in India continues to have a profound spiritual impact on that predominately Hindu nation. Words of Hope’s Lee DeYoung says since the low caste Dalit renounced their faith in November, He’s noticed a change in listener response. “The response from these Dalits has been increasing to the Christian radio broadcasts in Hindi, so there definitely is a searching that is going on. There seems to be some works of the Spirit of God among these people.” According to DeYoung, the Hindi radio program is encouraging people to learn more about the Bible. “Right now, there are 4,000 Hindi listeners who are active participants in that Bible correspondence program. There are many who have come to faith in Christ.” DeYoung says because of that, churches are growing.
