(India)–As thousands of Dalits prepare to denounce their Hindu faith Sunday, evangelicals are praying that this won’t just be a political gathering. Global Advance’s David Shibley is praying that many of these untouchable people will have a relationship with Christ. Shibley says he’s heading there to help in that effort. “In recent days, I’ve received several emails from Christian leaders in India requesting prayers that they would be able to gather the potential of this massive harvest and also to be able to assimilate them into the existing church structures in India. That’s why it’s so important for us to a major frontline shepherd’s conference.” Shibley says hundred of pastors and lay leaders will be in attendance. Pray that this training will reap much spiritual fruit in the months ahead.
