(South Asia)–Fulfilling the Great Commission through effective evangelism, discipleship, church-planting, and humanitarian aid drives a group like World Help to explore new partnerships. Eric Vess says a recent trip to South Asia showed how these ministries work together in God’s timing. “We went first to a Bible school graduation in south India and we were told that over half of the graduates at that graduation of the Bible school there had come through an orphanage project that we support in northeast India.” Vess says the trip through India and Nepal reveals the symbiotic nature of their work with an eye cast toward the future of the national church. “Child sponsorship and orphanage work actually is bringing forth church planters, pastors and teachers that go out into the harvest field. So, even children’s work is not just about children. It’s about who they become.”
