Story number 3 for 28 Dec 2001

(Ivory Coast) — National Christians in the Ivory Coast are taking an active role in seeing their countrymen come to Christ. That’s the word from Tom Dudenhofer of Audio Scripture Ministries of Holland, Michigan. Dudenhofer says they just received the New Testament recordings of the Senufo-Cebaara (seh-NOO-foo sih-BARE-ah) language. “It’s significant because it was completed by national Christians, who have assumed responsibility for reaching their country for Jesus Christ. This receipt of the Cebaara is a real testimony to God’s faithfulness in raising up national believers who are now beginning to reach their country of Ivory Coast with God’s good news.” Dudenhofer says it was a win-win situation for both Audio Scriptures and the national church, who needed equipment for their damaged radio station. “Audio Scripture offered to supply the equipment needed to restart the project. In return (we) requested a copy of the next New Testament that was recorded for audiocassette distribution and radio broadcast.”
