Story number 3 for 28 Nov 2000

It could be another difficult year for Christians around the world. It’s estimated that 165-thousand people will die for their faith in the upcoming year, according to David B. Barrett the author of the book “Today’s Martyrs.” World Evangelical Fellowship officials say persecution is on the increase due to the large increase of the Islamic faith. Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkmenistan are countries with the least religious freedom. However, despite the findings and the difficulties, many people are coming to Christ in these countries.
