(USA)–Elsewhere, a ministry that reaches out to the needs of children in Jesus’ name is celebrating a milestone in ministry. Compassion International’s Pam Hargis says they’ll be celebrating their 50th anniversary in September by honoring God for His work in this unique ministry. Hargis explains. “It’s about taking an individual or a family and connecting them with a child around the world who they may or may not meet. And, I’ve had children say ‘they treat me like I’m one of their own.’ And, we tell them about Jesus and we see their lives get transformed.” Last year, 400-thousand people supported a child with 28-dollars a month. Hargis says more children need help and they’re expanding. “We just opened our 23rd country. We’re looking at new areas of the world. We’re looking at new areas of the world. We currently minister in middle America, Latin America, Asia and one portion of the continent of Africa. So, we’re starting to do…mobilize God’s people in West Africa and we’re looking at Bangladesh.”
