(USA)–Meanwhile, Teen Missions International is already getting ready for their 2003 short-term mission trips. Bob Bland is the founder and president of the ministry that hopes to send over one-thousand teens on short term trips next year. Bland says each teen receives training before going out. “We bring them to Florida. We have a camp here called “The Lord’s Boot Camp”. They’re trained here in all of the physical trades that they’re going to be doing overseas – laying blocks, tying steel, mixing concrete, plus all of the evangelism tools. And, after two weeks of training they then go overseas.” Bland says they have some exciting new trips planned next year. “Next year, for the first time, we’re going to have a specialty team for those that are interested in being a missionary pilot and then taking them to Brazil. Also, we have a team set up for those that are interested in Bible translation. We have one going to Africa for those that are interested in medical missions.”
