(USA)–Meanwhile, the number translations of Scripture available on the internet continues to grow thanks in part to the International Bible Society. The International Bible Society’s Dwight Anderson says they just launched the Japanese and the Ndebele languages. “We provide it in a number of different formats. Some are searchable. Some are downloadable in PDF. Other you can download to a portable device. We also have service for the web phone and other small portable devices.” Anderson says this has already become an evangelistic tool for many who don’t have access to scripture. “We know of people that have emailed us and said ‘thank you for providing scripture on-line and I was able to download it, print it out and witness to a friend of mine.” You can see all 22 of the translations on their web site at IBS-dot-org.
