(Chad)–Next, assemblies of God missionaries are reporting that they’ve received permission to begin the first Christian radio station in the African nation of Chad. One year ago, the government lifted its ban on religious broadcasting. Missionaries in Chad say this radio station will be a great tool to proclaim the Gospel in N’Djamena (IN-jah-MAY-nah), which is 65-percent Muslim. The station called “Voice of Hope”, is raising funds for equipment, studio, transmitter and land. Short-term workers are also being recruited to help build the facility.
