Story number 4 for 25 Jul 2000

By July 25, 2000

Next, ten thousand evangelists are headed for the Netherlands this week for the largest evangelism conference in history. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is hosting Amsterdam 2000 July 29 through August 6th. Graham’s trademark fiery passion for the Gospel will be passed on to the newest generation of evangelists. Global Advance’s David Shibley will join the thousands there. He explains why. “There’s going to be a tremendous advance for the Gospel, as a result of these days of training, and it’s going to be a real delight, not only in what will happen in the sessions, but to see God sovereignly network people all over the world.” Shibley asks believers to pray for the meeting. He then heads to the Republic of Congo for a Frontline Shepherd’s Conference, August 8th through the 10th. Shibley says the church there needs help because pastoral training is almost non-existent.
