Next, Trans World Radio is reaching out to a proud people in West Africa. Approximately 3 million Songhai live in Mali, Niger, and Benin. Radio is their main source of information, but less than one-percent have heard the Gospel. Since they have integrated Islamic beliefs into their traditional animistic culture, it is difficult to introduce them to Jesus Christ. Beginning July 2nd, TWR will broadcast a 30-minute evangelistic Songhai program each week as part of the World by Radio partnership.
