The speed of life in the military

USA (FCBH) — Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
– Matthew 6:25

How was your day? “Busy!!”

Let’s face it, there are always places to go, cleaning and chores to do, running here and dashing there. How do you keep up with the speed of life? It’s hard enough for the average person. For men and women in the military, life can be even crazier.

Days are filled with work and duties, physical training, early mornings and late nights–and then the challenge of squeezing in some family time. Add to that the possibility that orders can change at a moment’s notice, sending them in a completely different direction. For those in the military, remaining calm, cool, and collected is often a challenge in the rush of frenzied, frustrated, and flustered hours.

The Military BibleStick is a soothing peace in the stress of military life. Partnering with over 1,500 chaplains from every branch of the service, Faith Comes By Hearing has provided over 540,000 of these pocket-sized digital audio players to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

Every Military BibleStick contains the New Testament along with 65 minutes of specially selected Psalms. Whether it is listening to a chapter or two during a break, or listening through the entire New Testament, Military BibleSticks are designed to bring peace and comfort at the speed of life.

Testimonies from American troops confirm Military BibleSticks give them the opportunity to recharge in the midst of their busy lives:

Military days are long. The BibleStick is great because Bible study can happen from gym time to cleaning. Thank you! — Seaman Apprentice, Navy

Working the hours we work does not allow us to pull out a Bible and read. Having the audio version allows me to listen while I eat or do PT. — First Lieutenant, Army

It is nice to just listen to the Bible as we wait for further command. — Corporal, Army Reserve

It allows me to listen to the Bible even when I’m busy! — Master Sergeant, Marine Corps

Churches across the nation have partnered with Faith Comes By Hearing to reach servicemen and women, one life at a time. Your church can help meet that need and transform one life, 40 lives, or even the lives of an entire platoon!

We thank God for churches like Salem South Nazarene Church (Salem, OR), Rosinton United Methodist Church (Robertsdale, AL), Piney Forest Baptist Church (Chadbourn, NC), Bread of Life Baptist Church (Plattsburgh, NY), Kahului Union Church (Kahului, HI), and over 8,000 other congregations who are bringing peace and comfort to the hearts and minds of those who are serving in the military.

This is a very good initiative, i firmly believe that servicemen and women deserve spiritual nourishment in the midst of their busy and unpredictable schedules, through this they are encouraged. May God bless all those in the Military as they serve the Country and may God be with all His people around the world.
