Translation teams push to finish work for ministry in Nepal.

Nepal (MNN)–Nepal’s continued insurgencies provide confusion and noise for the World Bible Translation Center’s team.

According to the Center, they’re continuing their push to meet their goal this summer. They’re feverishly working to finish the Nepali Bible translation in the next couple months.

Over 19 million people are native Nepali speakers; ten million of those live in Nepal, six million live in India, and over 150,000 live in Bhutan. Of these 16 million people, 90% are Hindu, nearly 10% are Buddhist and Muslims, and less than 1% are Christians.

The Nepali speakers are in critical need of an easy-to-understand Bible so that they might come to know the Lord.
