Unrest in Haiti disrupts Bible translation.

By February 11, 2004

Haiti (MNN)–Violent opposition to President Jean-Bertrand Aristide spread across Haiti, with protesters setting barricades ablaze and rebels in control of an unknown number of cities.

The carnage is disruptive to the work of the Bible League teams in Haiti. They are reporting numerous incidents where bandits with weapons come into the office to demand money.

Please pray that Bible League staff will be protected from the violence and chaos in the streets of Haiti. Pray that God will guard the door of the Haiti office, and only allow peace to enter.

The Bible League makes sure Scriptures are used for evangelism, discipleship, and church growth. Pray that each staff member will travel unharmed to carry out their mission: providing Scriptures and training to the people of Haiti.
