Volunteers prove to be the life blood of a global aid ministry.

By May 18, 2006

USA (MNN)–Global Aid Network, or GAiN USA is wrapping up their Spring Work Project this week.

Teams are getting supplies packed for this summer’s mission trips to Moldova, Central Asia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Uganda.

Teams sort and pack items like clothing, shoes, medical supplies and equipment, toys, and school supplies.

CarePacks are also prepped for shipping. A CarePack consists of school supplies, a school backpack, or a Teddy bear (or all three) along with a letter and photo of yourself to an orphan or needy child in Russia, Uganda, or another country.

GAiN volunteers are also packing emergency relief in response to still-recovering disaster zones. Without volunteers to help, GAiN would have trouble keeping up with the aid requests. That might translate to missed opportunites to reach people with the love and hope of Christ.
