VOM Expands Short-term Opportunities for 2004

By October 10, 2003

International (MNN)–Throughout the year, The Voice of the Martyrs sends teams of volunteers to restricted nations where religious freedom is limited or nonexistent.
The teams go to submerging nations where signs point to persecution on the rise to practically and effectively serve the church.

For the past several months, staff have been making arrangements to send teams of volunteers in the coming year to Mozambique (March 22 -April 11, 2004), south India (June 12 – July 4) and southeast Asia (September 9-October 1, 2004).

Aside from the cost of the trip, applicants must be over 19. VOM says the only other requirement is a willingness to go and share the love of Christ with a servant’s heart. Teams are open to believers from across North America.

Fees for each trip include travel from major international points of departure in North America (e.g. Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, Atlanta), transfers, room and board, “in country” excursions and project fees.

Costs for passports, visas, inoculations and travel medications are not included, plus any personal “little extras” a team member might like to pick up. The stated cost of each trip is eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
