Women of Hope welcomes new director, Susie Pek

By March 8, 2023

International (MNN) — On International Women’s Day, a global women’s ministry gains a new leader. Susie Pek is taking the helm as Trans World Radio’s Women of Hope Director.

“I’ve been with the ministry for 14 years now,” Pek says.

“When Peggy [Banks, former Women of Hope Director] transitioned to a different ministry, she referred me as the new director.”

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Pek formerly served as Regional Coordinator for Latin America with RTM Brazil, TWR’s regional sister station. Now, Pek will oversee 450 staff members and volunteers in more than 125 countries.

“I would like to equip and encourage our team so they can reach women in their countries,” Pek says.

“I would like the Lord to grant us the opportunity of having more programs, making sure that everybody has the chance to hear it (the Gospel). And, there’s a world of possibility [for] reaching women through social media.”

Susie Pek is only the third director to oversee Women of Hope since 1997. Pray for the Lord’s strength as she provides vision and management for the growing women’s ministry.

“I know I’ll face many more challenges, and I still don’t know all of them,” Pek says.

“As I step deeper into my position, pray that I will hear from the Lord and follow His footsteps in guiding our teams worldwide.”
