Hong Kong (MNN) — More than 3,000 people are expected for the 14th Baptist Youth World Conference in Hong Kong next month.

Postponed a year because of the 2003 outbreak of SARS, Hong Kong Baptists have shown their strength and commitment to this meeting, says Emmett Dunn, who directs the youth program for the Baptist World Alliance . The theme is “Jesus Christ is the Life…Live!” The conference will be held August 4th – 8th.

More than 1,600 people have already registered in Hong Kong and Dunn says, “Every day now we have new registrations.” Throughout Asia, hundreds of young people are preparing to come and more churches in the United States are now signing up their young people to attend the conference that features dynamic youth speakers, contemporary music and workshops that focus on many issues of the Christian life and witness for today’s generation.

There is still time for your church or youth group to register.
