As a part of her ministry to Russian-speaking women, Ruth Deyneka Erdel was repeatedly asked to write a book on how to grow spiritually. In this book she uses the furnishings of the Old Testament Tabernacle as object lessons for our spiritual growth, along with many stories growing out of her warm ministry to Slavic women.
About Slavic Gospel Association: SGA serves Bible-preaching churches in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States by helping national pastors and churches reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
About the Author: Ruth Deyneka Erdel was born to Peter and Vera Deyneka in 1928. Her parents were Belarusian immigrants who founded the Slavic Gospel Association. Ruth and her husband, Jacob Ivanovich Shalanko broadcast the Gospel in Russian by short-wave radio for almost thirty years. After Jack’s death, Ruth began ministering in the land of her roots among Russian-speaking women and has spoken at many Slavic conferences for women and youth in the United States.
