Distributions were made among the island nations of the South Pacific. Helen Williams with WMP sayswork in this area is difficult for several logistical reasons.

The fourteen island nations of the South Pacific are home to 800 indigenous languages spread over numerous islands.

“The population is spread out over these islands,” Williams says. “The people that we communicate with out there, they love the material. They want to keep it and keep it coming, but they don’t use it in great quantities because they just don’t reach people in the same way because of the distance and the language and all that goes on in the South Pacific.”

WMP has good, long-time contacts in this region, so the organization is making an effort to reconnect with people who may be out of materials.

Additionally, Williams says that coordinating shipments is “a networking thing” and that a contact with the Bible Society helped get materials to the islands.

Despite challenges, the ministry has seen fruit.

The container held over 3,700 booklets in Tok Pisin and English, and another pallet of materials in other languages for the Island of Bougainville and the Solomon Islands.

Williams received the report that the distributors are “Going into places where their relentless spirit not only conquered mountains and valleys, but also transformed lives along the way, equipped with gospel booklets and the powerful message of Christ’s love.”

These missionaries are not only seeking conversions. They are building relationships with locals and are seeing a ripple effect of families and communities seeking a relationship with Christ.

Despite travel challenges, Williams says, “We, as a donor-based ministry, try very hard to make every dime count, every penny count. Using these containers and then combining shipments for others in that same region, and making it possible for them to get the material more readily, more securely, and a great reduction in cost, keeps these missionaries supplied and helps us be good stewards of the funds that we have.”

WMP is sending these materials all around the world, whether that’s to the South Pacific, Scandinavia, Argentina, South Africa, Mali, wherever.

“The whole point of all of this is to share God’s love and His Word and His salvation with a world that does not know that even exists and still has a hunger for something that they don’t know what it is,” Williams says.

Please pray that English and Tok Pisin materials will be used by the Holy Spirit.

Pray with WMP over every step of the process, including production, staffing, funding, shipping, and waiting, as they seek to provide free Scripture to people around the world.

“We are seeing the Lord work in so many places around the world,” Williams says. “…If you listen to the news and read this-and-that, the world is in chaos. And it is, but I can tell you from where we are that God is working. People are coming to know Him. Villages are being changed,
and so keep up the good work.”

Last year was the first year that Mission Cry began shipping to Cape Town, and the organization was able to send four full shipping containers.

This had been a leap of faith for both the suppliers and recipients last year, as they sought to trust God with what they could handle.

Beginning in February, the 2026 shipments will leave every two months to continue in the work that the Word of God is already doing in South Africa.

Jason Woolford with Mission Cry says that the organization received amazing testimonies of the work happening in this area amidst gang issues and crime rises.

“Prisoners giving their lives to the Lord, people who get out of prison getting saved, people coming from the surrounding countries, that’s right, coming from the surrounding countries to come and get free Bibles and Christian books from this hub,” Woolford says.

Woolford says that when he sees the devil working overtime, he knows the devil is trying to stop something great. God willing, this distribution point will continue to be a place that fights against the evil working in the world.

“The only thing that does not return void is the Word of God,” Woolford says. “While clothes, water, food, all of those things are important (especially as Americans know), those things return void, but the Word of God doesn’t. It forever changes someone’s life.”

Please pray that the containers sent to Cape Town, South Africa, this year will touch the hearts of individuals who do not know the Lord. Pray that people will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and that their lives will be transformed. Pray that Christians will be discipled and that they will draw near to God.

MAF President David Holsten says their mission is about far more than transportation: “We like to say in our mission statement that we use airplanes to bring help, hope and healing, and we see that happening both spiritually and physically.”

This year marked MAF’s 80th anniversary. The ministry began with men and women who served during World War II, who had seen airplanes used as tools of destruction — and dreamed of something different.

“They had seen airplanes that were used as instruments of war — that brought death and chaos, and all the things that can happen during war time. And as they came out of the war as followers of Jesus, they thought, ‘Wow, what could it look like if we used airplanes as instruments of peace that could bring life and peace to places?’”

Now, 80 years later, Holsten says the airplane continues to be a tool God uses to protect people, reach isolated communities, and serve refugees.

“[It’s a tool] that can help bring protection for people, to fly them over places that where there’s conflict on the ground, or to bring supplies to people or to serve the needs of refugees,” he says.

2025 was a fruitful year. “Just from a statistical standpoint, our airplanes were able to serve people in about 12 different countries,” he adds. MAF also flew up to 50 thousand passengers.

But those flights often go into unstable places. “Places that we fly to, there could be war and unrest. And so it’s a miracle in and of itself, that after 80 years of doing this, we’re still able to do it,” he explains.

MAF delivered medical aid and Bibles and supported evacuations. But tragedy struck in Indonesia when a remote-area teacher was attacked and died during an air evacuation, leaving the team grieving. It also underscored why their Gospel work must continue. “Without the work of Jesus in His Spirit, in people’s lives, this is the sort of violence that can take place,” explains Holsten.

There were many hopeful moments too — like in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where pastors finally received paper Bibles. “Our airplane was able to bring in more Bibles that they could share between their different congregations and some clothing,” explains Holsten.

And that’s just one of examples of how God is using MAF flights to strengthen the Church.

“We usually have the Christmas party for 500 children, but this year we have to cancel it, because of traveling” says Roseline DeHart of For Haiti with Love.

The decision comes amid growing uncertainty tied to expanded U.S. travel restrictions that now include Haiti. With the travel ban set to expand on January 1, 2026, there is uncertainty about whether commercial flights will continue operating reliably between Haiti and the United States. The risk of ministry teams becoming stranded made travel impossible this year.

The cancellation is especially painful because the children expect the event every year.

“A lot of kids will be very sad, because they all know the party is going to happen, and they’re used to it, so they will be very disappointed,” DeHart explains.

The Christmas party has long been more than a celebration. During the event, children hear the story of Jesus’ birth and His love for them.

“And the kids would go home and tell their parents and their neighbors. That’s how it [the Gospel] spreads,” DeHart says.

Despite the canceled party, the ministry’s work in Haiti continues. Local Haitian staff are still operating the clinic, overseeing construction projects, and carrying out other outreach efforts. Teams in the United States continue to provide supplies and guidance remotely.

“We have all the nurses down there doing everything. When they run out of supplies, we send that to them,” DeHart adds.

Please pray for Haiti, where communities are engulfed by ongoing gang violence. Pray also for the children who were expecting the Christmas party — that they will remember what they heard in past years and continue sharing it with their families and peers.

“God can do anything, and we just continue praying that things will change,” DeHart says.

Helen Williams from World Missionary Press recalls the time local partners were delivering containers from Togo to Niger:

“They asked for prayer going through Burkina Faso because of the robbers and the unrest and the potential violence. They also had an army or police escort. So it is very, very dangerous there!”

Despite the dangers, Williams describes the workers as “terrific,” highlighting their joy and determination to bring literature to communities thirsting for the Good News and solid biblical teaching. “It’s a needy area,” she says, “but the Lord is meeting the need through His Word and His people.”

The threat of armed danger is not the only challenge these workers face. Unpredictable complications from some authorities also add to their burden. In one case, a government official failed to complete the necessary documents on time. In another, the government changed how they categorized the shipment upon arrival at the port, which altered both the paperwork and payment fees.

“It’s a difficult place right now, but all of these years, the Lord’s just always made a way, and He’s had faithful ones that are willing to stay with the work and ask for the literature,” says Williams.

Despite these challenges, local workers remain steadfast and unwavering in their call to share the Word with those in need. If anything, the obstacles only strengthen their resolve:

“They don’t give up, and they continue, and they know that it’s for souls, and they go, and they show the love of Christ and give the Word. And I believe the Lord’s going to honor that in bringing many in these nations to the Lord as a result of their faithfulness.”

The World Missionary Press and local workers rely on prayers and practical support to continue sharing the Word. Pray that orders from global communities for Christian literature can be fulfilled. Pray also for the safety of the workers delivering the containers and for their faith to be strengthened by the abundant fruit of their labor.
